Position: Business Analyst
Location: Baltimore, MD
Duration: 5 years
Responsibilities:
- Preparing scope and requirements documents
- Working collaboratively with State staff (contractors and State employees)
- Prepare business processes, functional and non-functional requirements and associated procurement re-writes to secure the appropriate vendor for COTS and/or SaaS solution,
- Creating and regularly updating project schedules, staff task work plans, issues list, risk lists, and other documents required by Client for management and governance of information technology projects,
- Maintain standard project management SDLC waterfall documentation using the requirement templates for the Maryland Department of Information Technology (MITDP),
- Communicate effectively with stakeholder, explaining the client’s SDLC waterfall methodology in a way that non-IT Project Management type individuals can understand,
- Manage the entire project success and assure the successful attainment of each and every goal set out at the onset of the project,
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other related discipline
General Experience:
- At least five (5) years of experience in project management.
- PMI certification as a PMP
Specialized Experience:
- At least five (5) years of experience in managing IT related projects.
- Must demonstrate a leadership role in at least three successful projects that were delivered on time and on budget.
- AND at least two (2) years of experience with planning a COTS and/or SaaS financial system from a legacy system, preferable Payroll related
