Job Description: Must be able to perform all the tasks from the C4IM Table located below.  Basic tasks to be performed range from resetting user passwords, migrating Oracle Database / environment to new platform (I.E. 10g to 11G), and developing programs and reports in APEX, Java.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and three (3) years of Information Technology experience or five (5) years technical experience with an Oracle Database Administration Secret Clearance (IT-II background checks) GSEC, SCNP, Security+, or SSCP Certification (IAT-II) and Server+ Two (2) years’ experience in Data changes/conversion using SQL procedures Two (2) years’ experience in Data changes/conversion using shell scripts Five (5) Years’ experience in Oracle 10g/11g Five (5) Years’ experience in Java Five (5) Years’ experience in Oracle DBA Five (5) Years’ experience in Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) Five (5) Years’ experience in Oracle Database Administration Five (5) Years’ experience as a Oracle Database Administrator Five (5) Years’ experience with database design Five (5) Years’ experience with systems analysis Three (3) years’ experience developing reports in APEX Three (3) years’ experience developing reports in Java.

Direct Client_Linux / Unix Administrator_Columbia,SC_3 months

Position:         Linux / Unix Administrator
Location:        Columbia, SC
Duration:       3 months

Scope:

Candidate should possess senior level administrative knowledge in the support, architecture and implementation of Unix/Linux servers. must have extensive knowledge of Red Hat Linux, AIX, and HP UX server support and management in an enterprise environment.  Satellite Server is a requirement.  ability to work with diverse groups and to communicate complex ideas and subjects accurately, clearly and concisely as well as the ability to transfer knowledge to management, peers and functional teams is required.

Must be available to work outside the normal Monday – Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM business hours as needed

Local candidate preferred.  This position requires ON SITE support!

Duties:

1. Review, install, maintain, and test operating system and application software on UNIX/Linux server platforms.
2. Administer and tune UNIX/Linux servers for optimum operating efficiency.
3. Perform local security auditing and updates on Unix/Linux platforms.
4. provide technical guidance to peers by instructing them in the maintenance and support of various components of the multi-processing systems hosted in the Unix/Linux environment.
5. assist with the architecture, design and implementation of an offsite datacenter for redundancy purposes assist with the architecture and enhancement of distributed enterprise backup systems.
